The Barge Inn at Honeystreet is certainly unusual, located as it is at the centre of “crop circle country” on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire. We were staying in the “Willow World” section of the campsite,

As the name suggests, the pub sits right next to the towpath, catering to as many users of the canal as it does to seekers of quasi-mystical, arable-based geometric shapes and people who just like to take in the glorious scenery.

The sun was shining when we got back from Avebury, so Ali and I took a walk along the canal in the early evening light and captured some life on the water. Then we sat and watched the sun go down as we toasted another successful adventure.

Cheers!
